5 Reasons to Join the Central Park Rec Center in November

If you’re like me you got WAY out of the habit of going to the gym during the pandemic.  Well if that’s the case, and you’re ready to get back at it, November is the time to sign up for an annual membership at the Central Park Rec Center.

In this post we’ll cover the top 5 reasons to sign up…or if you prefer to watch a quick video I made on this topic you can just skip to the end.

5 Reasons to Join the Central Park Rec Center in November:

1. Memberships are on sale!

They have an amazing deal right now on their memberships!  During the month of November their memberships for adults are just $199.  That’s about half of the normal cost.  Why are they so cheap?  My guess is when they closed for over a year during the pandemic they probably lost a ton of people.  This deal is their way of jumpstarting their membership again.  Signing up takes just minutes and if you have any old credit with them it can be applied towards this membership.

2.  Kids are free!

Kids age 5-19 are free.  You’ll just need to bring in their DPS lunch # and they can be added on to your account at no extra charge.

3.  Seniors 60+ are free!

Seniors just need to bring in their ID to get set up and it’s completely free to them.

4.  Normal hours are back!

For a while they’ve had some odd hours but they are now back to normal. So on weekdays that means 5:30am – 9:00pm.  Weekend hours are a little different so check those online before heading over.

5.  Kids activities are starting back up.

On November 8th you can sign your kids up for various sports leagues and swim lessons.  (Pro tip:  If you’re signing up for the swim lessons create your account on their website ahead of time and be ready to act quick on sign up day…apparently these spots go fast.)

There you have it, 5 reasons now is a great time to sign up for a gym membership at the Central Park Rec Center.  I got it done because the weather is changing and there are going to be a lot more days coming soon where it’s just too cold to do the fun outdoor stuff.

If you haven’t had a membership before it’s worth checking out.  They have weights, a great cardio area facing the mountains, a large pool with a lazy river and slide, basketball, pickleball and all types of group classes.

Here’s that video I mentioned for details.
