“Wicker Park”, Stapleton’s Newest Neighborhood!

The latest neighborhood coming to Stapleton is known as “Wicker Park”.  Forest City, Stapleton’s developer, had a meeting today for real estate brokers and here is the scoop on the area.

First, let’s chat location.  Wicker Park will be located at the Northeast corner of Central Park Blvd and Prairie Meadows Drive, just South of the new Northfield High School.  Check out this overall Stapleton map to help you zone in on this intersection (start at 56th and Central Park Blvd and go south on Central Park Blvd until you hit Prairie Meadows Drive).  Once you get your bearings you can check out this zoomed in map of the Wicker Park area.  This area is north of I-70.  Did you know that 30% of the Stapleton buyers building new homes North of I-70 are moving from homes in Stapleton South of I-70?

So what will be built there?  There will be 240 homes built in this new area.  There will be 14 home collections built by 7 of our active Stapleton builders.  So there will be options in prices ranging from the high $300k’s to the million dollar range.  (See link at the bottom to see what the builders are building and find the best lots before the crowd!)

The main amenity of the area is Wicker Park, the large rectangular park in the center of the neighborhood.  This will be the neighborhood gathering spot and it will include sod fields, a playground for kids (of course) and plenty of trees & landscaping.

From Wicker Park you can walk north on “Boston Street, which is a heavily landscaped, brick paved sidewalk one way street that leads up to the larger green space that surrounds the neighborhood to the north and east.  Boston Street is going to be amazing and Parkwood Homes will have lots facing it that will offer their town home and their single family home collections.  (alley loaded, not side loaded)

In terms of timing it is not too early to start looking at Wicker Park.  Some builders are already signing contracts in this area and I expect to see them start building some homes here in fall 2015.

Here is a link to a Wicker Park page on the Stapleton website which also has more info about the neighborhood.

If you are interested in building a home in Wicker Park check out the 9 builder updates below.  They will show you what each builder is building and where they are building in this new neighborhood (as well as Bluff Lake coming soon!).  Check it out and if I can be of service as a local Stapleton real estate broker please let me know.
