What is Being Built Next to FlyteCo Tower in Central Park?

If you’ve driven by the FlyteCo tower in Central Park in the last 6 months you’ve probably noticed the massive construction project going up right next to it along Central Park Blvd between 32nd and 33rd Ave.

What is this project?

As a Central Park West resident myself, I get asked that a lot so we wanted to do a quick post to share some information on the project, including the development plan.

Quick thanks to my neighbor and friend Lane Lyon from Coldwell Banker Realty who shared this information with me.

The project is Solana Central Park, one of two large apartment complexes under construction by the developer in the neighborhood.

So what does this project have to offer?

The project includes 307 apartments on a 4.5 acre parcel and amenities include a resort style swimming pool & spa, cabanas, entertaining kitchen/bar/event space, health club, swingtrack widescreen HD golf and sport simulator (I want access to this!), private library, outdoor grills, bike/ski/snowboard repair (very Colorado!), gaming room, woodfire pizza oven, enclosed dog park and a pet wash!

Central Park residents are surely noticing there are a lot of big projects like this being built in and around the neighborhood.  (Like the 900 apartments going up near Stanley including Stanley House, the large apartment complex on the SE corner of MLK and Central Park Blvd, the large apartment/condo buildings going up around Sprouts, etc) There will be pros and cons to the added housing density, but the larger projects shouldn’t come as a surprise.  From the start the Central Park neighborhood was built on the tenets of “new urbanism”, a planning and development approach that values walkable neighborhoods with mixed types of homes and increased density.  Curious to learn more?  Here is additional info on new urbanism.

As promised, below is the development plan showing the layout of the buildings on the property, location of amenities, garage access & more.

The developer website says leasing Spring 2023 but that seems extremely optimistic given the state of the construction project. We’ll keep watching and sharing additional info as we get it.
