It’s back to school time! Like many Stapleton moms I’m sad to see my family’s wonderfully fun summer end, but I’m also happy (ok, also a little relieved) that my children are headed back to school to reunite with their friends and start new adventures.
August has historically been a slower month for real estate here in Stapleton in part because of back to school time. Families are getting in one last summer road trip, finishing sports leagues, and ending camps in early August, and then after that attention quickly turns to preparing the kiddos for the new school year.
After the kids settle in and Labor Day is over, it’s not atypical to see more listings and more buyers turning their attention back to the real estate market. We’ll just have to wait and see if that same trend plays out this August and September, and whether interest rates hovering near historic lows (the average 30 year mortgage interest rate is around 3.7% right now according to the Wall Street Journal) impacts our local market. With all that in mind as backdrop, let’s dive into this week’s featured homes.
