What a week, Stapleton! With the drop in interest rates these past few weeks, Stapleton home inventory on the rise, and the growth of businesses in Stapleton, I can’t think of a better time to talk about the home buying process and how you can make the most of this situation.
First up, interest rates.
This week we saw mortgage rates dropped to the lowest level in the history of Freddy Mac’s survey of mortgage lenders (see this Washington Post article HERE). So what does that mean for you? Well, if you are looking to obtain a mortgage for your next home, this is a FANTASTIC time to apply. As a buyer with a low interest rate you may be able to afford more than you originally anticipated. If you recently purchased your home or are not intending to move anytime soon, this is also a good time for you to refinance your current mortgage. Check out this article & Facebook Live video the Scoop published earlier this week speaking directly to this subject. If you need recommendations for a lender, please reach out. We have several lenders that we work with regularly who we would be happy to recommend.
Next, possible home options.
So, the drop in interest rates has piqued your interest. If you are currently renting, you are obviously in a great position to purchase your next home without being contingent on selling a home. But what if you currently own a home? Maybe you’ve been thinking about how nice it would be to have more space or be in a different neighborhood. How does that work? Here at Focus, we have helped many clients in this exact same situation. In our new Buyer and Seller FAQ pages you’ll find a video that explains the options you have when it comes to selling your home and purchasing a new one.
New Businesses!
Earlier this week Focus team member Mariel Ross discussed some new businesses opening in or near Stapleton. From a 40-bed hospital to all the new restaurants and a natural pet food store, the growth in Stapleton doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. Read more HERE.
Now onto what’s happening this week in the Stapleton real estate market:

Disclaimer: Our Friday real estate updates are meant to be a “roundup” type post where we discuss all listings in Stapleton, not just our own. It’s our way of making sure we follow the market closely and we share it with the Scoop readers because we know many of you like to track real estate in the area as well. Many of the listings in these posts are not our company’s listings and we wanted to mention that here to make sure it’s clear. Thanks for reading the Scoop!
