This Week in Central Park Real Estate 3.18.22
Hope everyone had a fun and safe St. Patrick’s Day. I also hope your March Madness brackets are doing well so far… looks like the Kentucky loss broke a lot of brackets yesterday. Can’t wait to see who wins the Central Park Scoop Bracket Challenge. Over 130 people joined our bracket this year and a few lucky people will win some great prizes.
Before we jump into the real estate listings this week, here are a few recent posts we don’t want you to miss.
Help name the Filing 54 Pool in North End. The MCA has opened up a “Name the Pool” contest where the winner will receive an after hours party at the new pool from 7:00pm-9:00pm sometime in June or July. Each person is limited to 1 name entry and all entries must be received by March 31st. When submitting your entry, keep in mind the neighborhood’s aviation theme. The other pools are: Aviator, F15, Jet Stream, Maverick, Puddle Jumper & Runway 35. Click here to find out more and to submit your name suggestion.
Reusable Moving Boxes. Already sold your home and ready to start packing for the move? If you’re staying in Colorado, you might want to consider reusable moving bins from Simply Box’d. In addition to reducing your carbon footprint, you’ll never have to worry about the bottom of the box giving out. Read more about the company and product in this post.
Another work week is coming to an end but, in real estate, that means the busiest part of the week is just getting started. Here’s what’s happening in Central Park real estate this week:
New Listings
20 new listings, including 3 affordable housing properties, hit the market this week which is the most we’ve seen in a while. These two are my favorites (I may be partial):
10821 E 28th Place
Beautifully appointed KB Paired home in Bluff Lake. In addition to great neighbors on a friendly courtyard, you’ll enjoy having a private, low-maintenance yard with trex decking and turf lawn.
An open-concept main level features decorative wainscoting, a gas fireplace with tile surround and a kitchen with a large center island, stainless steel appliances and easy access to the attached 2-car garage. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms including the primary suite with walk-in closet and ensuite bath, 2 secondary bedrooms, laundry, a 2nd full bath and a loft. There’s fantastic storage and endless potential in the unfinished basement with rough-in plumbing and 2 egress windows. See a quick video tour here. Listed for $650,000 by Kailee Ackerman with Focus Real Estate.
8219 E 28th Place
This quintessential KB single-family home has been extensively updated from top to bottom. Natural wood accents on the fireplace mantle in the living room and open shelving in the kitchen make the main level feel intentional and cohesive. Similarly, the tile used on the kitchen backsplash is the same tile used on the fireplace surround. All the bathrooms have been beautifully updated and the finished basement is both stylish and functional with a kitchenette, ¾ bath and laundry. Don’t miss the spacious backyard and detached 2-car garage. Listed for $800,000 by Megan Kempf with RE/MAX Synergy
Pending
15 listings went under contract since last Friday. In addition to those 15 properties, about a half dozen of the new A-Line Townhomes also went under contract.
Sold
12 properties closed this week. As always, we want to send a warm welcome to all our new neighbors.
Coming Soon
There are some truly beautiful listings set to hit the market within the next 7 days. I can’t wait to tour 9231 E 33rd Ave and see the views from the upper porch. Talk about a showstopper and neighborhood icon. If you’ve driven down MLK, or walked along 80-acre Central Park, chances are you’ve seen this home standing tall and proud along the north side of the park.
All Active Listings
26 properties are ready for a busy weekend of showings and open houses. If you’re interested in touring some, feel free to text or call me at (720) 633-6282.

Disclaimer: Our Friday real estate updates are meant to be a “roundup” type post where we discuss all listings in Central Park, not just our own. It’s our way of making sure we follow the market closely and we share it with the Scoop readers because we know many of you like to track real estate in the area as well. Many of the listings in these posts are not our company’s listings and we wanted to mention that here to make sure it’s clear. Thanks for reading the Scoop!
