Happy September! I just love this time of year – college football is on, everything starts switching over to pumpkin spice and the weather finally finds the 70s. So wonderful. There are so many wonderful events in the neighborhood this month, but here are a few selections to get you and your family out and about!

Park Hill Home Tour and Street Fair

This Denver tradition began in 1978 when a local Realtor organized a tour of Park Hill homes to showcase the rich history and diverse architecture of the neighborhood. Over the years, the Home Tour & Street Fair has grown and evolved into a community event that, in addition to featuring beautiful homes and historic landmarks, includes over 100 vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, children’s activities, and a wine & beer garden.

Grab your fishing pole and head to Lake Mary for a hands-on clinic offering tips and tricks for fishing fun! Experienced anglers from Environmental Learning for Kids’ Youth Urban Ranger Program will be on hand to help, and poles will be available for loan. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Help Refuge staff gather flowering shrub seeds to be used in prairie restoration projects throughout the Refuge.
