CherryArts at Stanley Returns September 15 – 17

Three years ago Stanley was not much more than a building and a dream. We took possession of Stanley Aviation in August 2014 with a handful of small businesses signed on and almost zero urban development experience. Still, the good people who produce the annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Cherry Creek—one of the biggest and most successful arts festivals in the country—believed in our vision and decided to work with us on a new festival: CherryArts at Stanley.

We’ve come a long way since then, and we are thrilled to welcome CherryArts at Stanley back for the third time, starting on September 15. This year’s festival will be bigger and better because our marketplace is actually open now.

CherryArts brings close to 100 artists from all over the country spanning a variety of artistic mediums and price points. The weekend also features art installations, live music, and the ever-popular Creation Station, an art playground for the entire family that’s especially popular for our younger visitors. All three days of the festival are free and family-friendly.

The one component during CherryArts that’s ticketed is brand new this year: Art Brunch takes place on Sunday morning from 10AM to 12PM. We were convinced to buy tickets as soon as we heard about the black pepper candied bacon. Besides a delicious brunch, attendees will alo enjoy multiple take-home art activities, including screenprinting and metalworking. All funds raised from Art Brunch go toward supporting CherryArts’ nonprofit mission to provide access to art experiences and arts education to people all over Colorado.

As a warm-up to CherryArts, we’ve already got multiple pieces from the CherryArt’s mobile art gallery displayed throughout Stanley. We’ve wanted to be a beacon of art and culture since well before we opened, and we’re excited to see lots of you here during CherryArts.

Because we’re expecting a good-sized crowd, we hope lots of our Stapleton neighbors walk and bike to Stanley that weekend. Wish for Wheels will provide bike parking, and our friends from startup Bike Here will be on hand to share info about their new venture. More details about CherryArts available here. Come hang out with us!
