If I told you there’s an amazing, destination resort – specifically for kids and families – within an hour of Stapleton (without fighting mountain traffic), would you believe me? Complete with a hotel, indoor waterpark, mini-golf course, climbing wall, and more? Well, it’s called the Great Wolf Lodge, and it’s an affordable kids resort just across I-25 from the Air Force Academy (we could see the football stadium from our room!) We did a staycation at Great Wolf in January, and while it was bitter cold outside, we never had to leave the Lodge! My 4-year-old son stopped counting after 25 waterslide trips; my husband enjoyed the indoor Dunkin Donuts and Ben & Jerry’s stores; and I was able to stay connected to our Stapleton real estate deals at the hotel, waterpark, mini-golf course, etc…WiFi is a great thing 🙂 Check it out!
