Mommy’s Little Helpers

So – not quite like the Rolling Stones song…but since having a sweet little boy 8 weeks ago, I’ve discovered some little helpers that have made all the difference.  I wish I had known about these when I had my first child 3 years ago!

Instacart.  This is a LIFESAVER.  Order groceries online from stores you would normally shop and they are delivered 2-4 hours later.  Amazing!  They even do Marczyk’s (one of my local favorites), Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage and Costco…yes…Costco(link will get you $10 off your first order)

Postmates – because there has to be better delivery than pizza and Chinese food!  I’ve used Postmates for sushi, Cheesecake Factory club sandwich cravings (especially when I was preggers), and even for a Sephora run (a girl needs skincare!)  They’ll go to Trader Joes for you and you can even use Postmates in other cities to drop off a gift to a friend – so it’s like having your own personal errand assistant!  Side note – I recently scheduled a dinner date with a friend I haven’t seen in a while and needed to leave the house for a few hours with my husband watching my 3 year old and 2 month old.  I left instructions, plenty of milk and ordered dinner on Postmates before I left the house.  About 45 minutes after I left, dinner was delivered and I had a happy husband!

Diapers.com, Amazon and/or Honest Company – who doesn’t love diapers delivered to their home without having to think about it?!  I’ve used Honest Company for years as their diapers and wipes seem to prevent diaper rash for my little one.  Now that I have a newborn again, I’ve reconsidered where to get our diaper delivery from.  Diapers.com and Amazon.com both have great scheduled delivery services for diapers – and offer a discount for regular delivery.  No matter which service you choose, I highly recommend signing up for some regular delivery so you never have a 2am “no diaper” surprise!

Supperbell. Restaurant quality food in the disguised as a home cooked meal?  Yes please! Meals are delivered to your door, ready to be refrigerated for future use or warmed to eat right away.  You can even buy gift certificates for the new parents in your life.  Beats the pants off of a frozen casserole!  (link will get you $10 off your first order)

Drizly.  For 9 months we haven’t had wine in the house – but now we have guests coming over to see the new baby!  Sure, we don’t have to offer beverages to our guests, but a quick visit to drizly.com had fabulous wine and a bottle of champagne to our door within an hour.  Pretty cool.  Side note – I’ve also good things about Liquor Limo (they are a local company), but I have not yet used their service.  (link will get you $5 off your first order)

These are just a few of the services that have made my new mommy life a little easier!  Do you have a Mommy’s Little Helper to recommend?
