It’s been a busy week in Central Park real estate! Before we dive in, I wanted to pause on a few of our recent posts and videos here on the Scoop.
One blog post that caught my eye? Well, all you have to do is mention pools and I’m all in. Did you know Central Park is home to 7 pools each with its own unique flair (driving boards, lap lanes, slides, fountains, etc.). You can learn more here on the pools and their features and locations. If you want to avoid the pool scene, a splash pad or water feature may be the next best thing. You will find 6 water features throughout the CP neighborhood.
Also, don’t miss Ashley Faller’s recent post and walk-through video of the new Tattered Cover kids bookstore at the Stanley Marketplace. The new concept from Tattered Cover focuses on books and non-book items for kids, creating an experience oriented toward children. The new store will host kid-friendly events and programming like birthday parties, children’s authors, story times, and more.
Stacy Grissom’s latest post on downsizing and how she’s helping her in-laws move out of their vacation home is a great read. There’s a lot of good information in Stacy’s post, and I found the auction section particularly interesting. Here’s a little snippet:
“We had Pacific Auction come out and this is probably the route we will take. They charge by the hour or per lot to catalog all the items, big, small, random or common. They said they would catalog tupperware and dishes, furniture, decor, DVD’s, basically anything and everything … Once cataloged, they put it up in their system where people can browse and bid.”
Now, on to the real estate!
10 new listings went on the market in Central Park this week. Here are 2 of my favorites!
Check out this charming 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home in the ever-popular Central Park North neighborhood! This home is walkable to Central Park, playgrounds, light rail, and the new Sprouts Farmers Market. If the excellent location isn’t enough for you, the new kitchen in this home boasts granite counters, gas range, stainless appliances, natural light and a handy pantry. Adjacent to the kitchen is both the dining space and living room, offering an excellent layout for entertaining!
When you’re touring this home, be sure to step down into the basement. The basement boasts warm bamboo floors, a large family room, storage/wine room and an additional bedroom and bath. The spacious bathroom doubles as the laundry room with extra cabinets and storage. Additional laundry hookups are offered in the main floor’s mudroom if you prefer to change the location – so plenty of flexibility!

This incredible, rare 2-story Parkwood Somerville townhome has a gorgeous and functional outdoor space, among so many other features. When you’re touring this home, you’ll see how the main level hardwoods flow into a convenient mudroom that opens to a professionally landscaped backyard complete with a custom deck, water feature and low maintenance turfed yard. Can you picture summer nights under the stars out on the deck? Amazing!
This end unit townhome is situated on a beautiful one way street greenway, that provides great walkability. For example, just follow the path out front … and you’ll find yourself at Beeler Park’s best attraction, a stream-like splash pad. Inside, you’ll love the tall ceilings, detailed casing and crown moldings and, of course, all the thoughtful upgrades!

Our Friday real estate updates are meant to be a “roundup” type post where we discuss all listings in Central Park, not just our own. It’s our way of making sure we follow the market closely and we share it with the Scoop readers because we know many of you like to track real estate in the area as well. Many of the listings in these posts are not our company’s listings and we wanted to mention that here to make sure it’s clear. Thanks for reading the Scoop!
