Joe Phillips at Focus and I sat down recently to chat about a topic that comes up from time to time – mountain homes. Friends and clients of ours in Central Park buy, sell, lease, and build in our beautiful Rocky Mountains, so we tend to get questions now and again about mountain properties. Unfortunately, it’s not our area of expertise, so we set out to find an expert who could help provide information to the Central Park community on all things mountain real estate.

So without further ado, I want to open this week’s update by welcoming our new mountain real estate Scoop contributor, Emily Lawless. Emily has been a Breckenridge resident for 6 years and loves everything the mountains have to offer. She’s also a broker at Cornerstone Real Estate – Rocky Mountains and knows the ins and outs of owning a property in the mountains.

5 Things You Should Consider When Buying a Home in the Mountains
Welcome to the Scoop, Emily!
Next, focusing back on Central Park, in case you missed it there’s been a lot of business new around the neighborhood the past few weeks. What exactly did you miss? For starters, four new businesses all recently opened that are owned by local Central Park residents: Beeler Perk, Fit Learning Lab, Club Pilates, and TWST Fitness.
Another locally-owned business, Mici Handcrafted Italian, recently secured commitments to open 50 new locations in different markets throughout the country. Add in Kabod Coffee opening a new DIA location, P.F. Chang’s new restaurant going into Northfield, Ike’s Love & Sandwiches opening next to the light rail station, the sale of The Shops at Northfield for $71m, and much more, and you can see how much is going on around the neighborhood!

Disclaimer: Our Friday real estate updates are meant to be a “roundup” type post where we discuss all listings in Central Park, not just our own. It’s our way of making sure we follow the market closely and we share it with the Scoop readers because we know many of you like to track real estate in the area as well. Many of the listings in these posts are not our company’s listings and we wanted to mention that here to make sure it’s clear. Thanks for reading the Scoop!
