The Park Hill Home Tour & Street Fair is this Sunday, Sept. 8th!
Have you ever taken the “scenic” way back into Stapleton from downtown? If you have, chances are you’ve driven along some of the most beautiful parkways in Denver.
This Sunday, September 8, 2019, is your chance to tour five of these beautiful homes. Three of the homes are located along stunning 17th Avenue Parkway.
Every home is unique and has its own story to tell. Below is the list of homes found on this year’s tour. You don’t have to go to these homes in order. Feel free to take your time touring these homes that will have your jaw dropping with ideas and inspirations you may want to add to your own home:
- 2291 Cherry Street – A 2016 Craftsman home with a farmhouse interior.
- 5045 E. 17th Avenue – A fully renovated Tudor home with a Scandinavian-inspired interior.
- 1734 Holly Street – A fully renovated English Cottage with a Craftsman, Victorian and classic eclectic-inspired interior.
- 5800 E. 17th Avenue – A 1937 Georgian home, fully renovated and completely re-designed landscaping.
- 1926 Leyden Street – This Tudor home was a complete scrape, and features a Transitional interior and Tuscan-inspired wine cellar.
Hungry? Need some entertainment?
Then head on over to the street fair! Located on Forrest Parkway between Montview Boulevard and 17th Avenue, the street fair is always a blast for everyone of all ages. It is free and no tickets are required to attend. The live music and festivities will kick off at 11:00 a.m. and continue through the afternoon ending at 5:00 p.m.
Close to 100 local vendors will also be set up on the parkway. This is one of my favorite parts of the street fair. From medical service companies to local bakeries to churches, it’s wonderful to know what resources are close (and it’s always fun supporting local small businesses – had to throw that in there).
What about my kiddos? Is there anything for them to do there?
Yep! Near the live entertainment is a kids zone! Arts and crafts and other fun kid activities are found here. The food trucks are also conveniently close (as well as porta potties).
If all this isn’t enough to pique your interest, there will also be a FREE e-recycling event! This is found on the south end of the street fair near Forest and 17th Avenue.
“Bring your old, broken, or unwanted electronics for drop off with PCs for People and you can rest assured that your electronics will be properly disposed. PCs for People accepts nearly everything computer-related for FREE, with exceptions for CRT (tube) computer monitors and televisions, which cost $.55 per pound to recycle. Home appliances and light bulbs are not accepted.”
