Where can you find the cutest Kentucky Derby viewing party on the Front Range, complete with a live mini horse race, big hats, pastel suites, mint juleps, and more!?! We’ve got the scoop…
The 2nd Annual Denver Mini Derby will be held May 5, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stanley Marketplace. Guests will enjoy viewing the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby on large screens followed by a live mini horse “race”, including charitable betting. And if that’s not reason enough to attend there will also be a DJ & dance floor, photos ops with the mini horses, best hat/suit/couple contests, a corgi race, an open bar, and great food options!
Here’s the schedule of events for the party:
1:00 pm – Doors open
2:30 pm – Corgi Race and Costume Contest
3:00 pm – Best Hat/Dressed/Cutest Couple Awards
3:50 pm – Charitable Betting Ends
4:00 pm MST – Kentucky Derby is LIVE
5:00 pm – The Cutest Mini “Race” ever held (Additional Charitable Betting) – minis will not be ridden, they are led by adult “jockeys” for additional comedic effect.
6:00 – Event Ends
There are two ticket options:
General admission tickets ($99) include admission to the viewing party, the miniature horse race, the contests, and open bar.
VIP admission tickets ($159) offer everything included in general admission, plus access to the VIP-only seating section, open bar, and barbecue from Rolling Smoke BBQ.
