Stapleton’s Announces Newest Neighborhood – “Beeler Park”

Good news for those of you who have been waiting for more new homes to hit the market in Stapleton.  Forest City just did a press release, which you can read below, announcing “Beeler Park”, the newest neighborhood in Stapleton!  This new area will add 822 homes to the neighborhood!

Beeler Park will be located North of 56th Ave between Dick’s Sporting Good Park and the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.

What’s most exciting to me is in this new area the 10 builders, which are listed below, will have 22 newly designed home series ranging in price from the $200k’s to the $900k’s.  The image for this post is one of Wonderland’s newest plans in their modern series.  (base prices..want to know the likely end prices?  Check out our New Home Building FAQ section to learn that formula)

(DENVER) – July 6, 2016 – Forest City Realty Trust, Inc. announces today that Stapleton will take its vision of sustainable thinking, energy-efficient homes and brilliant urban design, even further with the launch of Beeler Park– Stapleton’s 11th neighborhood. Beeler Park isn’t just another Stapleton neighborhood. It will feature 822 newly-designed homes that reimagine how people want to live. Homes can be built as Zero Energy ready(™)…improving health, comfort and durability and making Beeler Park the most energy-efficient Stapleton neighborhood yet.

“At Stapleton, we’ve created a community built on big ideas, and after over 10 years, we’re still writing the book on new ways to live,” said John Lehigh, president of Forest City Stapleton. “This is a tremendous undertaking because only a select group of top builders in the country meet the extraordinary levels of excellence and quality specified by the U.S. Department of Energy guidelines for Zero Energy Ready Homes. But it should come as no surprise that you’ll find home builders upholding these new innovations right here in Stapleton.”

The Department of Energy’s Zero Energy Ready Home is a high-performance home so efficient that a renewable system (i.e. solar) can offset all or most of its annual energy consumption. With a Zero Energy Ready Home, homeowners could have no energy bills, other than a monthly electric hook-up fee. And with features like thicker walls and triple-paned windows, a home can create as much solar energy from its solar collectors as the home uses—resulting in a zero “net” energy bill.

“Every Zero Energy Ready Home includes a host of features that minimize pollutants and allergens, prevent moisture build-up, and provide a continuous flow of fresh, well-filtered air,” said Samuel Rashkin at the Department of Energy. “Every Zero Energy Ready Home begins with solid building science specified by ENERGY STAR® for homes. Then, advanced building, mechanical and appliance technologies are added—as well as practices from world-class research programs.”

Many of the construction technologies that make a Zero Energy Ready Home more energy-efficient also make it more durable. Comprehensive water protection details, added quality assurance, detailed diagnostics, and three national performance program certifications add to the home’s integrity and durability.

“The United States Department of Energy’s Zero Energy Ready Home program has the most stringent building standards in America,: said Gene Myers, President of Thrive Home Builders. “As such our homes offer the best of low energy cost, healthy indoor air and low water use.   We have been building to this standard for years and believe that all new homes should be built this way.”

In addition to the quality of their home, residents of Beeler Park will find themselves in the center of two very different places. Each home will come with all the things people have come to expect from Stapleton including top rated schools, access to an abundance of amazing parks, nearby proximity to the Shops at Northfield, family-friendly summer events and dozens of restaurants. Beeler Park & Plaza—located at  Beeler Street and 57th Avenue , welcomes visitors with shaded seating areas  and inviting spaces for community gatherings.

The University of Colorado A Line is now open, providing an easy way to change your scenery—the train connects downtown to DIA, with a stop at Stapleton’s Central Park Station along the way.
