New Arrivals: Scott and Amanda
Scott and Amanda were moving to Stapleton from Tacoma, Washington. Should I help these Seahawks fans move to the neighborhood? That was my first thought, but they were such a nice family I figured they’d make a good addition to the area despite their poor taste in football teams.
After checking out a few options they quickly zoned in on building a “Poppy” model with Standard Pacific Homes (now known as “CalAtlantic Homes”)
They were still living in Tacoma throughout the entire process but were able to manage the new build process long distance. They, along with their 4 young boys, are now happily moved into their new home in Willow Park East! Here is what they had to say about building their new home from out of state using Focus Real Estate as their buyer’s agent:
“When we were starting to plan our out-of-state move to Denver, some friends recommended we get in touch with Joe Philiips. They had used him when they bought their home a year or so earlier. We did, indeed, enlist Joe’s help, and we certainly needed much help! As buyers from out-of-state, we had almost no familiarity with the local real estate market, nor any significant familiarity with Denver on the whole. Lucky for us, Joe does!! At the outset, we were not even sure if we wanted to buy a resale or new construction. Joe met with builders on our behalf, took weekly pictures of our home, provided us with complimentary design services, and even provided us with contacts for inspections, mortgage lenders, interior painting, and window treatments! He is an amazing and knowledgeable resource! And he kept things running smoothly because he was always on top of everything! Joe works for his clients as hard as though he is buying or selling his own home—-that is the level of dedication from start to finish when you enlist his help! At the same time we were building our Stapleton home, we were selling our other home with another realtor. The difference between the two realtors was stark: Joe was so on top of things and we always felt “in the know;” the realtor who was helping us sell our house left us feeling like we were constantly in the dark and we had a difficult time relaxing or even trusting her. Her shortcomings definitely highlighted Joe’s strengths as a real estate professional! We would recommend Joe to anyone and everyone!
