Mini Golf and Robots Go Together For A Good Cause At FlyteCo

If you like mini golf, robots, and supporting a good cause, hey, you’re in luck! On September 27th from 12pm to 6pm, the Nightbots, a local high school robotics team that prepares kids to participate in FIRST Robotics competitions, are hosting their fourth annual Mini Golf tournament. You show up, play a round of mini golf, and the cost of your ticket helps fund the team.

In addition to the mini golf, for the event, the Nightbots are going to be bringing their robots along to FlyteCo for a free, interactive robotics demo. “We’ll have our two competition robots there doing short demonstrations, trading off with some smaller robots that will be available for anyone to try out,” said the team coach, Mark Mehringer.

Ten dollars (or $9.50 if you grab a ticket before September 13) gets you a round of mini golf on FlyteCo’s updated course. (And yes, it’s a tournament, so you can turn in your score card to try to be declared the winner—but it’s mainly just for kid-friendly fun.) While you’re there, FlyteCo has a lot to offer: great food and drinks, not to mention a ton of other activities. You can reserve bowling, axe throwing, golf simulators, darts, and pool tables or a tour of the old airport control tower (that last one’s just for ages 10 and up).

All the money raised goes toward giving local students experience with engineering, programming, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving. Here are all the details—check it out and support the team!
