Giving back is important to many of the neighbors here in Central Park, and our local businesses are no exception! Since 2009 when their Dining for Dollars program started, Mici Italian has raised over half a million dollars and has assisted over 80 schools with their charitable giving. This year they are hoping to assist public school teachers with school supplies for their classrooms with a new contest called “Mici Clears the List”.
Co-Founder Kim Miceli, who’s background is in education, knows how impactful fundraisers are for schools, so Dining for Dollars is a program she is extremely proud of and wants to see it’s continued success. With the increasing costs of school supplies and the dedication teachers provide to make sure their students have what they need to not only succeed, but have fun while doing so, Mici Clears the List is a perfect way to support our community and beloved educators!
The new Mici Clears the List contest, “invites teachers, educational volunteers, education directors, parents, and students to post a picture with a caption about why their nominee (whether it be a school or particular teacher) deserves to win on either Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #MiciClearstheList in the caption.” Each post is considered an entry and a winner will be announced on September 30th with a repost and private notification. The recipient must have a current school supplies wishlist on Amazon.
In addition to Mici’s Dining for Dollars program, they also offer substantial discounts on pizza for schools and have donated over 10,000 free cheese pizza coupons to schools for the 2022-2023 school year. Along with local schools, the program has also helped Kids Compassion Project and Hope Kids Colorado.
