Inside Scoop: An Indoor Ski Hill, Beeler Park’s Pho Spot, Primrose Update, Third Culture Bakery, a Famous Dumpling Shop Opening Soon, Boost Hydration, and More!

There’s a lot going on in Stapleton these days!  Northfield is growing every day, the new Sprouts-anchored development at A Line Square is picking up steam, and the neighborhoods around Stapleton are full of retail and commercial news.

As a local Stapleton realtor and resident, I’m always tracking the latest and greatest “coming soons” on the retail front around our wonderful neighborhood. Here’s a sneak peak at some of the new stores and projects that have recently opened, or will be opening soon.

Before I dive in, if you missed our other recent retail updates, here they are:

June 2019: Summer Scoop on Sprouts, Punchbowl Putt-Putt, a new Primrose, and more!

July 2019: Inside scoop: A new Starbucks, 7 new stores coming to Beeler Park, grocery store rumors, what’s up with North End’s pool, and more!

October 2019: Inside Scoop: Illegal Pete’s, a famous dumpling shop, Cholon, two new pizza joints, a Disney store, and more!

Boost Hydration Bar now open in 29th Ave Town Center

15 year Stapleton resident Annie Lawson, Nurse Practitioner Arian Hilsendager, business and hospitality expert Jim Wright, and entrepreneur Tim White recently opened Boost Hydration Bar in the 29th Ave. Stapleton Town Center.

Boost Hydration Bar is a holistic wellness spa offering IV therapy to help enhance overall health.

Indoor ski hill opens next to Stapleton

Shredder Stapleton

Shredder Stapleton – a Colorado-owned indoor ski and snowboard facility – recently opened a few blocks east of Northfield at 4890 Ironton Street, Units F and G.

Shredder is one of the premier indoor snow sports experiences along the Front Range and touts itself as Colorado’s first year-round ski and snowboard business dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of snow sports.

As a mother of three young Stapleton boys, I love the Yeti School program. The Yeti School is a parent-child class that focuses on balance and strength training while introducing kids to skiing, snowboarding, and biking.

In each class, children participate in three stations: ski, snowboard, and kiddy “dryland training.” Open to children ages 10 months to 2.5 years, the class is a great option for young kiddos starting from basically right when they can walk!

There are other great classes, Birthday events, and more at Shredder Stapleton.

Pho 999 signs lease in Beeler Park

Pho 999 recently leased 2,500 retail square feet at Shops at Beeler Park in Denver, according to BusinessDen.com. The Shops at Beeler Park are still under construction (though getting closer to completion by the day – check out the photo below), and Pho 999 hasn’t announced a projected opening date yet. That said, be sure to follow the Scoop’s Facebook page and we’ll update everyone once we know when Stapleton’s pho restaurant is going to open its doors!

Pho 999’s other location is at 4701 Peoria St, Unit 105, Denver, CO 80239 and serves everything from pho-Vietnamese noodle soups to bun rice noodle bowls to spring rolls, and everything in between. Delicious!

Famous Los Angeles dumpling shop targeting February opening

Mason’s Dumpling Shop

Recently named one of the 38 best restaurants in Los Angeles, Mason’s Dumpling Shop is opening a new location just south of the Stanley Marketplace and east of Bill Roberts on Montview.

Signs are up at Mason’s new location at 9655 East Montview Boulevard. According to its Facebook page, the restaurant is eyeing a mid to late February 2020 opening.

We’re expecting Mason’s to feature a variety of incredible dumplings, rice bowls, steamed buns, and more!

Enterprise opening new facility behind Northfield car wash

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has leased and built a new facility just off Central Park Boulevard, close to the new Fire Station 39, Goldfish Swim School, and car wash.

We don’t have information on a project opening date, but we drove past the facility this week and Enterprise’s exterior signs are up.

Here at the Scoop we wouldn’t be surprised if Enterprise opens in the next 60-90 days.

House & Howell Social, a client tailored hospitality and catering company, recently entered the Stapleton market.  Whether your event is in a venue, park, museum, or the comfort of your home H&H Social’s goal is to provide an innovative, inviting, and creative culinary and service experience.

The well-reviewed hospitality company was launched from a vision brought together by two friends with a desire to elevate the culinary experience.  House & Howell Social began with the idea of having the dining experience and expectations redefined. The goal? To ensure their services will leave a lasting impression, long after the last bite.

New bakery comes to Colfax

Butter mochi donuts

Third Culture Bakery is coming soon south of Stapleton to 9935 East Colfax.

Third Culture Bakery original creation – the Mochi Muffin – was born out of a desire to create something new that remains culturally relevant and told a story of nostalgia. The Mochi Muffin is slightly crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and it has deep flavors of caramel, brown butter, and coconut.

Third Culture also serves mochi donuts, matcha green teas, and more!  The butter-mochi style donuts, for example, are baked and not fried, mimicking the lightness of a fried dough yet keeping the rich dense chewiness of a butter mochi.

Shops at Beeler Park news … and what’s the status of the new Primrose in North End?

Beeler Park car wash under construction

If you’ve driven by the Shops at Beeler Park recently, you likely noticed that the new car wash is going up quickly – I wouldn’t be surprised if the car wash is open by this summer. Check out the pictures we snapped this week.

Also, a new tenant – Daisy Nails – will be moving into the retail center once completed. The nail salon recently leased 1,800 retail square feet at Shops at Beeler Park according to BusinessDen.com.

Last but not least, our friends and clients here at Focus Real Estate often ask us about the new Primrose going into North End. The second Primrose location is just south and east of the new North End Pool, close to Elmira and 59th. The current Primrose is located at 2501 Syracuse Street, east of Fred Thomas Park.

We stopped by the Primrose site this week and construction fences are up, a construction trailer is on-site, and it appears a contractor has been hired.

Primrose hasn’t responded to the Scoop’s request for comment on timing for the new childcare facility, but regardless based on the condition of the site it appears a late 2020 or 2021 opening may be in the cards unless Primrose breaks ground very soon.

Rosenberg’s After Dark opening in The Stanley

As though the Stapleton’s famous Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen – popular for its soft and chewy, right out of the oven bagels, fish smoked and cured in house, delicious salads, high end coffee, pastries and oh, so much more – wasn’t enough, Rosenberg’s recently announced a new concept that will debut after 5 PM in its current location: Rosenberg’s After Dark.

Rosenberg’s After Dark will feature subs, pizza, and cocktails, as well as other “after dark” fare. When the restaurant pivots at 5 PM, you can snag subs from Lou’s Italian Specialties and slices and entire pizzas from Famous Original J’s Pizza, not to mention drinks.

Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen is located in Stanley Marketplace, a community of 50+ independently owned Colorado businesses bordering the south side of Stapleton at 2501 Dallas Street.

The end of an era – update on Stapleton’s last remaining home lots

There are several Parkwood Painted Ladies currently available for purchase in North End

One of our January goals here at Focus Real Estate was to meet with the developer and builders at the heart of Stapleton’s last residential neighborhood, North End. After all, once North End is complete, the 20+ year residential build-out phase of Stapleton will officially be done.

So … what’s the latest on the second half of North End?

As we reported in our Quick 2020 Real Estate Market Update, the current North End neighborhood is almost out of dirt-start lots. The next (and last) section, filing 57, will contain about 600 homes.  Once those approximately 600 lots are sold and assuming an 8-12 month build-out timeline for your average Stapleton new construction home, and we’re looking at the final residential new homes to be completed and closed over the next 3 years – and then it’s all done!  If you’ve been dreaming of building your dream home or downsizing to something brand new – now is the time to get on the list and select your perfect lot!

Mariel contemplating construction timelines in North End (no, really!)

Of course, there may be some residential in-fill opportunities similar to the new A Line Square, which is being built on Central Park Boulevard. A Line Square will be anchored by a new Sprouts grocery store (expected to open this summer) and could have 100+ 1-2 bedroom condos and a dozen or more townhome residential opportunities.

What an amazing 20+ years its been! My husband remembers flying out of the old Stapleton airport when he was a young boy; we both remember the early days of the neighborhood when the community revolved around the 29th Ave Town Center. And now we have a 20,000+ resident community full of amazing restaurants, buildings, and schools. End of an era indeed!

If you’d like to learn more about the final new lots in North End – from the builders involved and “all-in” pricing workups to open space and park-adjacent living opportunities – shoot me a note at Mariel@Focus-Realtors.com. Happy to download everything I know!

So there you have it, Stapleton friends!
