Holiday Magic at Stanley Marketplace

At Stanley Marketplace you’ll find all the sparkly lights, decorated trees, festive wreaths, live music, carolers, holiday events and more. Here’s the scoop on what’s happening at Stanley this holiday season.

Dated:

  • Wednesday 12/15 at 7pm: the team at Comida is throwing a spirited Cookie Decorating with Patron event on Wednesday, 12/15. Reserve your spot to decorate Patron-shaped holiday cookies as you sip on Comida’s seasonal cocktail offerings like the Mistletoe Margarita, The Naughty Elf or the Spiced Apple Margarita. Call (303) 484-1632 to learn more and reserve your spot for 21+ guests.
  • Live Music and Shopping on Thursday 12/16: Live caroling, music and late night shopping at Stanley Marketplace as Neighborhood Music School puts on a holiday concert in the common area at 6pm, followed live music with Shawn Eckles. Many retailers will be staying open until 8pm for a late-night shopping event to enjoy the music and holiday vibe.
  • Santa! I know him!: Stanley welcomes Santa on Saturday 12/18 from 2-3:30. He’s making his lists, checking it twice, so be sure to visit him to make sure he knows all your wishes for the holiday season
  • Saturday 12/18 Live Holiday A Capella Music: Holiday carols, classics, and modern seasonal tunes with Reunion Acapella as they perform their favorite holiday hits at 10 am.
  • Sunday 12/19: the Colorado Youth Mariachi Program will be performing holiday songs at noon. Come support the program and learn more about Mariachi music and culture.
  • Sunday 12/19 Santa Story Time: Kids won’t want to miss Santa at a special Christmas story time at Tattered Cover Kids on Sunday 12/19 at 5 pm. The man in red himself will be at tattered Cover Kids to take pictures, and read a couple of his favorite Christmas stories.
  • Monday 12/20 and Tuesday 12/21 Mindcraft Holiday Break Camps: the Mindcraft Holiday Break Maker Camp Sessions are on Monday December 20 and Tuesday December 21 this year with morning and afternoon sessions both days.
  • Wednesday 12/22 at 11am Christmas Story Time: join the Tattered Cover Kids team for a delight- and wonder-filled Christmas story time to hear from a selection of Christmas-themed stories and books.
  • Thursday 12/23 Late Night Sip & Shop: it’s a procrastinator’s dream as most retailers at Stanley are staying open late until 8pm to allow guests to grab those last-minute items. Pro tip: Bonus: Stanley’s common consumption rules means you can pick up a hot cocoa, craft beer, festive cocktail or sparkly sipper from one of Stanley’s bars and restaurants and sip while you shop.
  • Sunday, Dec. 28, 5pm, Kwanza Storytime at Tattered Cover: Habari Gani! It’s a magical time of year, and whether you already celebrate Kwanzaa or want to start traditions of your own, please stop in to Tattered Cover Kids on Sunday 12/28 at 5pm for a story time with a selection of Kwanzaa stories and books.

Christmas Tree Farm Pop-Up

Shopping local is important, even for your Christmas tree. Visit locally-owned Neighborhood Christmas Tree Co. lot in Stanley Marketplace south parking lot to find an array of trees in all sizes from huge Griswold-sized trees to classic tabletop “Peanuts”-style trees as well as wooden snowmen and reindeer to deck the halls of your home this season.

Holiday Giving Tree at Stanley Marketplace

Spread holiday cheer to community families who need it most this time of year. Stanley Marketplace is proud to host the annual Giving Tree to benefit Denver and Aurora Housing Authorities, sponsored by VisitAurora. The tree has tags with wishes from children, seniors and support animals who find themselves in a place of need this holiday season. Take a tag, wrap the gift and bring it back to Trunk Nouveau any day between 10:00 am – 5:00 pm by Wednesday, 12/15.

Letters to Santa

Santa delivered his magical mailbox from the North Pole to Stanley Marketplace and you know what that means: letters to Santa! Get a spot on the Nice List by stopping by and dropping off your letter to be delivered to Santa; mailbox is located upstairs next to June Ruby.

Tour of Trees

In a tradition that delights families, friends and visitors to Stanley Marketplace, the Tour of Trees is an interactive wander through the historic halls from store to store and tree to tree. Individual businesses at Stanley Marketplace have installed, decorated, and displayed trees designed to reflect each store and delight viewers in a winter wonderland right here in the halls of the marketplace. Be sure to pick up a cup of hot cocoa or a warming winter cocktail to enjoy while wandering the halls.
