Oh hey everyone!

Happy to share some good news about a few new openings at Stanley Marketplace:

  • Kinesis Pilates opened on our mezzanine level on June 19.
  • Sazza Pizza & Salads had their soft opening on June 20 and is now officially open to the public.
  • Rolling Smoke BBQ has been popping up occasionally in anticipation of their official opening.
  • Kindness Yoga kicked off their official opening with two days of free classes, on June 24 and 25.

We’re also working hard on what’s likely to be our biggest event of 2017 thus far, when TheBigWonderful returns to Stanley. This time they’ll be here for three days, with different programming on each day, and they’ll be in The Hangar rather than in the field across Westerly Creek.

The Big Wonderful- Friday night Beerfest

Personally, I’m most excited about Day One of TheBigWonderful, which is Beerfest, with unlimited samplings of 20+ craft breweries and distilleries from 5 to 9PM on Friday, July 7, with live music from My Blue Sky, Canyon Collected, and Tori Prater, who’ll be covering tunes from the Allman Brothers Band, Blind Melon, and what they’re calling Dad Rock. There’ll be a late-night cash bar from 9 to 11PM that evening, too. (I’ll be taking a Lyft to and from Stanley that night to make sure I can sample every single thing.)

The Big Wonderful- Saturday Night Bazaar

Saturday will see the return of Night Bazaar, from 4 to 11PM. This is special to everyone here at Stanley because so many of our small businesses got their start at TheBigWonderful’s Night Bazaar when it was housed on Larimer Street a couple of winters ago. We first encountered Goose & the Goat and Zero Market there, and those businesses are both beloved members of our #StanleyFamily now. We love the idea of being an incubator for more small businesses the same way TBW was for some of ours.

The Big Wonderful- Sunday Day Bazaar

The third day of TheBigWonderful at Stanley is focused on craft vendors and amazing deals from all of them. One of the goals behind this pop-up was to create something like a local super-store inside Stanley, with accessible price points for lots of items and an emphasis, as always, on local small businesses. There’ll be live music and food trucks on that day, too, including a set of Madonna covers by a bluegrass band (12:30 to 2PM, because if you’re like me you’ll 100% want that in your calendar.)

Ticket holders for any of TheBigWonderful events at Stanley will also receive 10% off any purchases at more than a dozen Stanley businesses inside the marketplace. We love the idea of working together to create a special experience for our neighbors and friends, and we’re hopeful this is going to be a fun and unforgettable weekend.

Of course, we’re here and open every day and learning a lot each week as our first summer progresses. We’ll have another update for you soon.
