Elevations Land trust bought all of the affordable townhomes in Central Park and they sit on the market forever.

While it’s an awesome program the problem is that they only think about families but not people that are single parent households, disabled or veterans. The minimum housing income is $40,000 and I don’t even reach that yet. I’m a disabled veteran that is also a single parent that can afford to pay over $1500 in rent with the city’s so called “Affordable” housing programs that I had to jump through hoops and rings of fire just to move into despite having all my paperwork in order! I thought a program like this would be a godsend but low and behold they hit you with hoops to jump through just to buy a place that would cost less than what I pay for in rent.
Affordable for who?
