I’m writing this real estate update as the first snow of the year falls around Denver. How quickly we went from summer heat … to Halloween (as you can see from our cover photo, Samantha of the Scoop is ready for a big Halloween weekend at the 13th Floor Haunted House) … to snow!
While Halloween is top of mind this week, there are signs that winter is nearing. My kids have all switched from summer outdoor sports to indoor sports for example. A-Basin, often the first ski resort to open in Colorado each year (always seems to be a duel between A-Basin, Loveland, and Breckenridge!), did just that this past weekend. Ski season is here!

Lisa has great real estate expertise on buying and selling properties in Steamboat Springs and Routt County. I love her local tips in her post, including this one I found very interesting:
“LOCAL TIP: If you have young kids rent their gear each year through Epic Mountain Sports Junior Trade program. As they outgrow gear you trade it in for a discount. They also include one free trade out mid-season if needed.”
Scoop contributor and Summit County broker Emily Lawless also has some great skiing information in her latest post:
