In case you haven’t been following along, the Scoopies are a fun, annual award we at Focus Real Estate created. We’re celebrating the amazing small businesses and local spots that make Central Park and the surrounding areas such a special place to live, work, and play. From the best cup of coffee to the top local nonprofit, we invited the entire community to come together and vote for their favorite places in dozens of fun and meaningful categories.

If you have been enjoying the Scoopies and want more fun and useful neighborhood information from the Central Park Scoop, sign up here, or follow us on Instagram, Facebook, or Youtube.

Without further ado, here are our winners:

Honey Hill Café, in the Park Hill neighborhood, has been diligently providing locally sourced coffee, ice cream, and fresh ingredients for their delicious breakfast and lunch menu items, all which are a hit with the locals. The mouthwatering stocked pastry case and excellent baristas will also have you coming back for more. Don’t miss out on their cinnamon rolls and their homemade granola in their yogurt parfait. It’s also the perfect place to catch up with a friend, get a little work done, or even have a cocktail on the patio.

Honorable Mention: Glissade Coffee Company

Four Friends Kitchen, located by the Founder’s Green in the 29th Ave Town Center, has been a neighborhood staple, and it shows with their consistently vibrant dining room. We love their take on southern-inspired comfort food that will have you coming back for more. With beignets, shrimp and grits, and fried green tomatoes, you really can’t go wrong.

Honorable Mention: HashTAG

Since expanding locations from their previous Hilltop location off 8th Ave to Mayfair, La Fillette is just as popular as ever, if not more so. With busy weekend wait times, we love that the bar is on a first come, first serve basis and to-go is always an option. Their pastry case teases with rotating items such as homemade pop tarts, macrons, eclairs, cupcakes, and morning buns. With flaky croissants that are what butter dreams to be, their fully customizable build-your-own breakfast sandwich will become your favorite weekly staple. The Rosti potato with a gruyere fondue and the rotating flavor of the month croissant muffin are not to be missed.

Honorable Mention: Banh and Butter Bakery Café

Best New Restaurant: Boychik

Boychik at Stanley Marketplace opened and welcomed us in with open arms to a stunning and warmly designed dining space. Beautiful earth tones set the tone for silky smooth hummus and crispy-yet-fluffy falafels. The worldly wine list and fashionable cocktail selection are a lovely complement to the expertly spiced and flavorful menu. Perfect for lunch with friends, date night, happy hour on the patio, or memorable gatherings.

Honorable Mention: Nana’s Dim sum & Dumplings

Best Tacos: Torchy’s Tacos

Torchy’s Tacos happens to be our only non-Colorado native business to be a Scoopie winner but their tacos and queso are so good, we had to just accept it. With locations in Northfield and Lowry, we dig the not-so-secret menu items, their crispy chips, and family packs which are perfect for those quick dinners after kids’ sports.

Honorable Mention: North County

Best Takeout: Little India

Though they have multiple locations at this point, we do our ordering from the one at 29th Ave town Center. With free delivery, 10pm and 11pm closing times, and an easy online system, Little India offers up the easy button, while also providing an extensive menu sure to please every picky eater in the family. From butter chicken to made-to-order buttery garlic naan bread, we appreciate their generous portion sizes too.

Honorable Mention: Famous Original J’s

Best Pizza: Mici Italian

We remember Mici Italian when they first opened in Downtown Denver in the early 2000’s and their pizza was unlike anything Denver was putting out. It was fresh toppings, pillowy dough, and cornmeal dusting on the crust that had us coming back for more. Fast forward 20-plus years and multiple locations later, and Mici Italian continues to impress with their family recipes, dedication to quality ingredients, and daily fresh-made dough. What’s also in the sauce? A lot of love. Mici Italian donates over $80,000 of value to local school and children’s organizations. What’s not to love?

Honorable Mention: Carmella’s

Best Ice Cream: Sweet Cow

We remember Sweet Cow when they first popped up in the Highlands and in Boulder with their memorable Ozo Coffee and fresh Mint Chocolate Chip. When they opened at Stanley Marketplace, it was game on, especially now with the playground next door to let the little ones get their post-sugar wiggles out. We love their rotating seasonal flavors, their ice cream cookie sandwiches, and fresh waffle cones. They also make decadent ice cream cakes, guaranteed to make your next special occasion even more magical.

Honorable Mention: The Little Man Ice Cream Co.

Best Date Night Restaurant: Annette

What can we say about Annette that hasn’t already been said. Since opening in late 2016 in the Stanley Marketplace, Caroline Glover’s Annette has won it all, including a coveted James Beard Foundation Award in 2022 for Best Chef: Mountain. Annette dazzles with plates so thoughtfully composed and executed, they are both a spectacle for your eyes and mouth to behold. Lovingly handmade pastas and the whole roasted fish with salsa verde will fill your belly and soul at the same time. Happy hour includes a $20 7x wagyu burger and fries and under-$10 cocktails that, in our opinion, are totally worth it. Enjoy their professionally assembled wine and cocktail list in house or visit their sister bar and fellow Scoopie winner Traveling Mercies upstairs for a nightcap after dinner.

Honorable Mention: Lucina Eatery & Bar

Best Brewery: Station 26 Brewing Co.

Station 26 Brewing Co. got their name from the old fire station where they brew beer in Park Hill. Now it’s their beers’ turn to become common household names in Colorado. Their flagship Juicy Banger IPA and Tangerine Cream are so popular here that they even started making a non-alcoholic Tangerine Cream that sells by the six-pack. Check out their tap room for cool rotating/seasonal selections and events like baby goat yoga. They even offer stress-free bike routes to the tap room on their website, so check it out.

Honorable Mention: Cheluna Brewing Co.

Best Cocktails: Traveling Mercies

Perched high atop the Stanley Marketplace, Traveling Mercies starting winning awards just shortly after its opening and was even a 2025 James Beard Foundation Semi-Finalist for Best New Bar Award. Known as a cocktail and oyster bar, we love its clean, crisp interior with coastal vibes that would bring you oceanside if it weren’t for the gorgeous mountain views. Turn your head away and focus on the beautifully briny, plump oysters paired with a selection from the masterfully chosen cocktail or wine selection and be transported to a place by the bay. Check out their opening, late-night, and all day Tuesday happy hours.

Honorable Mention: Dirty Laundry

Best Local Retail Boutique: TRUE.

I can’t walk by TRUE. When I’m in the Stanley Marketplace and don’t have time to stop in, I have to at least peek through the window. They really do have the most beautiful things that catch my gaze. Finding out that this gorgeous little shop is independent and women-owned just makes me want to support them even more. Their clothes are so soft and luxurious without the luxury tax, which I think we can all appreciate. What always calls my name is their jewelry, eye-catching yet understated in all the right ways. Whatever you ladies are doing, keep it up, because we obviously all like it.
