Spring in the Mountains

Spring is here and that means après, sunshine, goggle tans, and t-shirt skiing. Epic Season passes for next year are already on sale, but it’s time to soak in the end of this ski season first!

Spring Skiing

Spring Skiing is here. There is plenty of snow to go around that should last well into April and maybe even May. Temperatures average mid-thirties and the sun is almost always shining, meaning snow should be nice and soft.  Whether you’re hanging out at Coppertop on Peak 9 at Breckenridge or tailgating at “the beach” at A-Basin, make sure to pack your sunscreen, snow reflects a ton of UV rays.

Other Spring Activities

If skiing isn’t your thing, don’t fret, there are tons of other spring activities in the mountains. Take a day to stroll Frisco or Breckenridge Main Street boutiques. Go sledding at Carter Park or tubing at Frisco Adventure Park. Book a day at one of the many Spas to replenish and relax with a facial or massage.

Best Après

The après parties in the spring are in full swing. Most Fridays and Saturdays there is a DJ spinning at either T-Bar at Peak 8 or Seven’s Patio on Peak 7 in Breckenridge waiting for you to come join in on the funky dance party. If you find yourself at Keystone, walk a few feet from the base of the gondola and grab a drink at Kickapoo; a local favorite. Live music at Copper’s Center village will be rocking and rolling every Saturday and Sunday of March and hopefully into April.

There are tons of things to do while you’re in town this spring. As we approach the end of the season, be on the lookout for pond skimming events around the county. Soak up the Sun and enjoy!
