New Town Builders In Stapleton

New Town Builders, like most builders in Stapleton, is doing well and excited about the future as they continue to build in Stapleton north of I-70 in Willow Park East. Buyer demand has been high and prices have been increasing, similar to what you’d see with other builders or the resale market.   Here is a quick update on what New Town is currently building in Stapleton within their 3 home series.  My contact information is at the bottom of the post if you need more information or you’d like help from a local Realtor.

New Town has two single family detached homes series, the Solaris II series and the Z.E.N. series.

Solaris II:

solaris IISolaris II is the next evolution in their Solaris series they were building South of I-70.  As I type this post I’m sitting in my home office in our Solaris home so obviously I think it’s a great product!   In this series they have 4 floor plans known as the Speer, Merrill, Belcaro and Hale.  The square footage ranges from approximately 1,800 to 2,200 sf not including finished basements which are about a $25k upgrade (good deal!).  The base prices are mainly in the mid/high $400k’s but don’t forget lot premiums and your finish selections which will take you higher in sales price.  Typically these homes are ending in the mid $500k’s depending on the plan and whether or not you finish the basement.

The “Hale” is the largest floor plan and it seems to be one of their most popular options.  (It used to be called the Wellshire when it was South of I-70).  If you need to keep cost down the “Speer” model is the way to go.  The main level is very open so it still feels big even though it is their smallest plan.  The secondary bedrooms upstairs are where it starts to feel tight for me.

The Solaris II collection includes solar panels and a prepaid 20 year lease as part of the purchase so it does help keep your energy bills down!

Z.E.N. Series:

havenZ.E.N. is a detached single family home series with 3 floor plans; the CrimZEN, the HoriZEN and the ArtiZEN  The homes will have base prices in the high $400k’s/low $500k’s and the square footage of the homes is roughly 1,900 – 2,100 sf.  Prices are typically ending in the high $5o0k’s on this series.

The homes will be built on shallow wide lots with 50-60 foot frontages rather than the deep and narrow lots of New Town’s Solaris and Solaris II collections.  This lot shape is the reason why the footprint of the homes is also shallow and wide.  It improves the back yards in my opinion because it makes them more rectangular in shape which makes them more functional.    (I have a Solaris and there is a lot to like but I can jump over my grass in the backyard and that isn’t saying much!)

So what’s unique about this series and why are the base prices higher than their Solaris II series?  Several things and here are a few of the big ones:

1.  Construction techniques, like 9.5 inch walls with extra insulation will keep your energy bills low.  In fact, the homes are so efficient that all of them will have a HERS score of 10 or less which is unheard of!  These are very efficient homes and New Town is the first builder in the country to offer these Zero Energy Homes standard throughout a home series.  This energy efficiency level is a $40k upgrade in their Solaris series whereas in this series it is included in the base price!

2.  All homes come with AC standard, also a change as it is still an upgrade on the Solaris collection.  We all want AC, I like moving this to a standard feature.

3.  The homes will have 10 foot ceiling heights on the main level (feels spacious!) and 9 foot ceilings on the second floor standard.

4.  All homes will have laundry upstairs – very popular with most buyers these days for convenience.

5.  There is an optional garage shed for all your tools, toys etc.

6.  All the plans are 3-5 bedrooms.  Three is standard but if you need more you can convert the study to a bedroom and you can add another one in the finished basement.

–  Here are a few more things I want to point out about each of the 3 floor plans:

The CrimZEN:  The CrimZEN is the smallest floor plan at 1,878 sf not including the basement which you can finish.  Click here to see the floor plan.  I love the “family foyer” which is the mudroom/office area. We have something similar in our house and it really comes in handy.  I also like the large covered front porch on this plan and the base price is quite a bit less than the other plans.

The HoriZEN:  The HoriZEN is one of the larger plans with 2,097 sf not including the basement which you can finish.  Click here to see the floor plan.  If you like lots of natural light I think you’ll love the great room on this home.  I think with those large windows you’ll be flooded in light.  I like the Jack n Jill bath connecting the two secondary beds upstairs, the nice separation between those beds and the master bedroom and the master bedroom closet which is 8 ft X 10 ft – huge!  I also like the distinctive look of the large windows on the front of this home.

The ArtiZEN:  The AriZEN is the largest plan in the series with 2,115 sf not including the basement which you can finish.  Click here to see the floor plan.    On the ArtiZEN I think the optional see through fireplace between the dining and great room will be popular.  I also like the large covered porch, spacious loft upstairs and the optional bay window in the kitchen nook area.

There are two Z.E.N. model homes now open at 7909 E Stoll Place Denver, CO 80238.  They are modeling the HoriZEN and the ArtiZEN.

If you’re interested in this series please let me know, I’d be happy to help you as your Realtor and keep you posted on updates.  Keep in mind that as a buyer you pay the same price regardless of whether or not you have a Realtor on your side…so why not have someone who’s been through the process before to help you?  To help you understand the process I shot this “Buying and Building a New Home” video series, check it out.

“Rows”:

rows In terms of attached homes New Town is building their Central Park “Rows”.  These are sleek modern town homes that offer starting prices in the high $200k’s/low $300k’s range.  Typically end price is in the low to mid $300k’s.  The plans offer 2-3 bedrooms, roughly 1,100 – 1,700 sf and have attached 2 car garages.  They are 3 levels so there are quite a few stairs which may turn off some buyers.  I love the main level which has an open layout with the kitchen/living/outdoor space all together.  You can click here to check out the three floor plans on-line and they will have models up in Conservatory Green soon.  New Town is sold out of these south of I-70.
