Halloween Happenings!
There are so many Halloween events in the Denver area it can be hard to keep up with which ones will fit into the family itinerary!
Luckily, we have compiled (and tested) a few events that are family-friendly and a few events which would be classified under “probably not the best Halloween tradition for our littles.”
Mariel Ross and I were lucky enough to test out the 13th Floor Haunted House. An easy 10-minute drive from Northfield, this haunted house definitely isn’t for the faint of heart. With a cast of over 40 actors throughout the attraction, there’s something (or somebody) popping out of every corner which will no doubt have you screaming your head off (thankfully Mariel and I weren’t able to film while we were in there – it was nothing short of truly terrifying). However, we did give a before and after update. The 13th floor is open every night through the beginning of November. Not only is there a haunted house, but there are other attractions such as the Shreakeasy Bar, axe throwing, mini escape rooms, and a sensory overload where you are in a dark room and have to feel your way through. Just writing this is scary enough for me!
Another fun event in the neighborhood is found at the Punch Bowl Social. Bring the kids (young and old) to the pumpkin patch where you can purchase pumpkins (tiny to large), then decorate all while drinking a beer! It’s a win-win! My daughter, Lila, and I checked it out this past weekend (click HERE to see the Facebook Live video). The pumpkin patch features fun games for younger kids and of course the putt-putt course is entertaining for all. On Saturdays through October there will be face painting and a bounce house. What could be better than a warm Colorado day on the patio, enjoying a cocktail with friends and family while watching your kiddos have a ball decorating their pumpkins!?
