Calling all Design Enthusiasts

As Realtors, we get to see inside so many beautiful homes here in Central Park—each one with its own personality, style, and clever details. From wallpapered powder rooms to built-in mudrooms, statement lighting to cozy porches, the creativity in this neighborhood never stops inspiring us. (Hello, me constantly wanting to redecorate and renovate my house 🙃)

We also hear from clients all the time: How can I make this builder floor plan feel more “me”? What have others done to customize their space? That’s why we’re kicking off a new series—Focus on Design—to highlight the coolest rooms and features in Central Park homes. The goal? To celebrate the beauty and ingenuity right here in our neighborhood while giving everyone a little inspiration for their own homes.

To kick things off, we’d love to feature your home. Send us photos of your favorite room or feature—maybe it’s a wallpapered powder room, a dreamy pantry, or a clever built-in. Tell us what you love about it, and we’ll compile submissions to showcase in future blog posts and on social media. Credit if you’d like—or anonymous if you prefer.

✨ Bonus: if you know your builder and model, we’d love if you’d share that too—it can be super helpful for neighbors with the same floor plan who are looking for ideas. And don’t stress about “perfect” photos—we’re looking for real, casual shots that show off your space, not designer magazine spreads.

We can’t wait to shine a spotlight on the creativity and style that make Central Park homes so special.

Mici Italian’s New Menu and Giveaway

One of Central Park’s go-to restaurants, Mici Italian, is celebrating 14 years in business and wants to show their gratitude with an awesome giveaway. Mici has an amazing new menu in place at the Central Park location and would love to turn the blank wall they have in their space into something meaningful. Their vision is to fill it with photos of you and your loved ones enjoying your favorite Mici Moments over the years.

The first 50 people to email your Mici Moment photos to micimoments@miciitalian.com will receive a FREE Pick 2 menu meal for you and a guest (valued up to $43.95). Photo submissions are due by October 17th, 2025.

Mici’s new Pick 2 menu lets you pair any two half portions of artisan pizza, family-style pastas, soup, or salad— perfect for trying all their menu items!

Now onto the latest in Central Park real estate…

We’ve seen a little pop in market activity lately—both locally and nationally. Mortgage rates ticked up slightly after nine weeks of decline, but they’re still low enough that lenders are reporting an increase in mortgage applications. Purchase applications are up 18% compared to last year, and refinance applications are up too. Translation? Buyers are still out there, and activity is holding steady even as we head into fall.

Disclaimer: Our Friday real estate updates are meant to be a “roundup” type post where we discuss all for sale and for rent listings in Central Park, not just our own.  It’s our way of making sure we follow the market closely and we share it with the Scoop readers because we know many of you like to track real estate in the area as well.  Many of the listings in these posts are not our company’s listings and we wanted to mention that here to make sure it’s clear. Thanks for reading the Scoop!
