Lady Nomada taqueria is opening its third location this week in the 29th Avenue Town Center (7301 E. 29th Ave – the old Casey’s spot). If you haven’t been to the locations in Arvada or Belmar, Lady Nomada offers Baja-inspired food, with tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, and more.
I had the chance to check it out during their friends and family soft opening last week, and I was blown away! The decor is stunning—check out those cacti!—and the food and/drinks were delicious! At the bartender’s recommendation, I tried the “Nomada’s Best of Plate” which is a sampler of a taco, enchilada, and carnita served with rice and beans.
The drinks are amazing too. Craft margaritas (in cactus-shaped glasses), and one of the best non-alcoholic drink menus I’ve seen. There’s NA wine, beer, and sangria, as well as creative NA cocktails. The bar area is gorgeous! With multiple TVs, and plenty of comfortable seating all around, it would be a great spot to watch a game.
Garage doors line the south and west sides of the restaurant, and provide an inviting indoor/outdoor space on nice days. An eye-catching mural can be admired from the spacious outdoor seating area, and there’s a fire pit for ambiance and added warmth on cool nights.
With the option to order tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas family-style, and a kids’ menu that ranges from a simple cheese quesadilla to carnitas tacos and chicken tinga bowls, Lady Nomada is family-friendly too. Parents will appreciate the arcade games and outdoor bocce area to keep kids entertained while the adults socialize and and enjoy their food and drinks.
Whether you’re looking for your next favorite happy hour spot, a place for date night, or a family-friendly dinner, I think Lady Nomada is going to be it!
