If you’ve been looking for a fun new spot close to Central Park that works just as well for coffee meetings and family hangouts as it does for pickleball, “Moodswing” needs to be on your radar!
Details are below in this blog post or you can take a quick casual tour with me in this video.
What is Moodswing?
Moodswing is a new “eatertainment” venue that mashes up pickleball courts, a full restaurant and bar, coffee program, event space, and a massive patio into one very cool, design-forward space. It sits on 3.5 acres with a 43,000-square-foot building and roughly 33,000 square feet of outdoor patio, which is set to be one of the largest patios in Denver. (Awesome mountain views!) The vibe is intentional: you can come just to eat, drink, work, or socialize, and pickleball is there if and when you feel like jumping in.
For Central Park neighbors, it’s about a 9-minute drive down I‑70 towards towards downtown —super easy for an after-work game or weekend outing.
Location, Hours, and Access
- Address: 3625 E 48th Ave, Denver, CO 80216, in the Elyria–Swansea area just north of I‑70 and Colorado.
- Website. Phone: (303) 351‑2837.
- Hours: Open daily, generally 8 a.m.–11 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and 8 a.m.–midnight Friday–Saturday (always good to double-check before you go, especially for holidays or special events).
Parking is another perk: they have around 130 parking spots on-site, which is a big deal for an in-town venue.
Pickleball, Games, and More
If you love pickleball, this place is a dream. Moodswing is built around 12 premium courts, with both indoor and outdoor play so you can keep your game going year‑round. (The outdoor courts include some courts that are covered and heated – amazing!) They’re already hosting leagues, open play, and DUPR events, and there’s even an app to handle bookings and keep things organized.
But even if you’re not ready to swing a paddle, there’s still plenty to do. The space will also include golf simulators (not in yet), plus cornhole, dart boards, and board games to keep the competition friendly and fun. There’s also an outdoor stage for live music and events, and a mix of indoor and outdoor lounge areas, including a mezzanine with indoor–outdoor balcony and mountain/city views.
Food, Coffee, and NA Drinks
The food program is much more than typical bar snacks. The menu is centered on brick‑oven pizzas (currently crushing the hot honey pepperoni as I type this!), fresh salads, appetizers, and pub‑style favorites, all built around quality ingredients. Think shareable plates that work for big groups, post‑game bites, or an easy dinner with the family. (Here is the menu)
One thing that makes Moodswing really neighborhood-friendly is the all‑day approach. They’re offer full coffee service starting early, so you can grab a latte, park with your laptop, and treat it as a co‑working spot before it turns into more of a nightlife scene later in the day.
On the beverage side, they’re leaning into variety: local craft beer, approachable cocktails, and a wide assortment of non‑alcoholic options, which I personally appreciate. The NA lineup isn’t an afterthought—expect thoughtful booze‑free choices so you still get something fun and well‑made in your glass even if you’re not drinking.
Memberships, Leagues, and Events
Moodswing is set up for both casual drop‑ins and more structured play. They’ve already partnered on indoor pickleball leagues and ladder leagues, with organized weekly play at different skill levels so you’re matched with appropriate competition. Memberships and organized DUPR events are part of the mix, giving frequent players perks like access to events and more regular, rated gameplay. You can check out membership options here.
It’s also a strong option for events. The venue includes dedicated event areas that can host roughly 200–250 people or be split into smaller spaces, which means you can run a company outing, birthday, team social, or fundraiser without taking over the entire building. With the huge patio, stage, and multiple zones, you can easily mix food, drinks, and games into one memorable get‑together.
If you live in Central Park or nearby and you’re looking for a new “third place” that works for everything from Saturday morning coffee and kids running around on the patio to weeknight pickleball leagues and late‑night drinks, Moodswing is absolutely worth checking out!
