We recently stopped by Friend Assembly, a newer business at Stanley Marketplace, to check it out. You can check it out here and keep reading for more info (please note, the giveaway mentioned in the video has ended).

Friend Assembly is a boutique gift shop and make-your-own pottery studio located next to Semion Barbershop on the second floor of the Stanley Marketplace. In addition to open studio time, Friend Assembly offers adult and kid hand-building classes, wheel throwing workshops, guest artist classes, private/birthday parties, and more!

Studio

Open Studio

Open studio hours are offered at $20/hour throughout the week. This is a great time to come in and play with clay, experiment, or work on a project. The fee includes a 1lb bag of clay and access to tools and glaze. Additional firing fees apply.

Tuesday: 12-4pm

Wednesday : 12-6pm

Thursday : 12-6pm

Friday : 12-3pm

Saturday : *12:30-6pm (*except during private parties)

Classes

Several classes for both kids and adults are offered at Friend Assembly, including Intro to Wheel Throwing, Adult Clay Basics, Kids Handbuliding, themed workshops, painting, and more! See all the class options and get more details. here.

Private Parties

Friend Assembly offers private parties for both kids and adults. During the duration of the party, the studio will be closed to the public. Parties are a max of 12 participants (5 for wheel-throwing parties).

KIDS – $35/hr per person

ADULTS 18+ – 45/hr per person

2 hour minimum studio rental

Shop

The shop consists of a variety of ceramics made by owner, Sarah Schreiber, and her maker friends. You will find cute mugs, planter pots, some jewelry, and more in the front half of the space.
