Authentic Street Tacos 5 Minutes From Stapleton!

Looking for some authentic street tacos just a few minutes from Stapleton – try “TacoMex” at 7840 E Colfax Ave Denver.  These are the real deal.  I spent a year in Mexico once and I practically lived on street tacos so I can say I know what a street taco should taste like.  (My Mexico recollections are a little fuzzy but I think these taste real!)  The tacos are 99 cents each.  They’re smaller so I’d get 5 or 6.  The first time I got 4 and it just wasnt’ enough.  They come in corn tortillas and come loaded with onion and cilantro so if you don’t like either of those let them know in advance.  Then you load up the tacos with the salsa bar, which is awesome.  They have a whole menu of other options but I’ve never made it past the 99 cent taco menu.  The place is definitely in the “dive/hole in the wall” category so not a date night option but it’s clean, quick and friendly.  The tacos “Al Pastor” were my favorite and the steak was good as well.  Chicken tacos weren’t my favorite.  Good luck, hope you love it!
