This warmer weather has me thinking about summer and all the outdoor activities that come with it; as you know, Stanley Marketplace was founded as a community gathering spot, a reclaimed former aviation factory that now serves as a place for neighbors to gather, meet up, shop, drink, dine, make art and be entertained.

Stanley Marketplace (2501 N. Dallas St., Aurora) has no shortage activities and community-focused events happening at this summer. Here’s the scoop…

Film on the Field – every third Sunday, May – September at dusk

There’s something magical about watching a movie outside under the stars, and this summer Stanley Marketplace is bringing outdoor movie nights to the Field at Stanley with the “Film on the Field” series. Presented by Visit Aurora, the series starts Sunday 5/15 with movies shown at dusk on a giant 28’ blow up screen every third Sunday of the month.

6/19: Soul

7/17: A League of Their Own

8/21: Grease

9/18: The Goonies

PRO TIP: Pick up dinner, snack box, portable charcuterie board and drinks to-go at one of Stanley Marketplace’s restaurants, bars, and brewery and bring it out to the field to enjoy with family, friends, and community in this FREE event.

Stanley Marketplace Farmer’s Market – Every Friday, June through September

Every Friday, June through September, from 3-7pm on the West Lawn across from Sweet Cow and Stanley Beer Hall, you’ll find a huge market, lots of produce, craftsmen, artisans, etc., and we’re thrilled this year to note that many vendors will be set up to accept SNAP and EBT.

PRO TIP: With Stanley’s common consumption allowance, you can grab a cocktail, wine, beer or any drink from the bars/restaurants inside and take it with you to sip while you shop.

Rescue Puppies & Yoga with Vibe Wellness – every 3rd Saturday of the month

We’ve all heard of Goat Yoga, but at Stanley Marketplace it’s “puppy yoga.” Join the team at Vibe Wellness every 3rd Saturday of the month starting May 21 at 9:30 am as they host a one hour Vinyasa (flow) yoga class at Stanley Marketplace enhanced by puppies from a local rescue organization Mile High Lab Mission. Guests will enjoy bending, flowing, stretching and puppy licks, and all proceeds donated to Mile High Lab Mission. Tickets are $20 each, but of course, the puppy licks and serotonin rush are completely free.

Stanley Summer Music Series – Sundays, West Patio, 3 – 6 pm

The live, outdoor summer music series kicked off in May with Sundays with Shawn, sponsored by Rolling Smoke BBQ, with local favorite Shawn Eckels performing live sets on the West Patio. Additional local music acts covering a wide range of music styles and genres will appear throughout the summer every Sunday from 3-6pm. Bring your blanket, chairs, pick up a picnic inside Stanley (or bring your own) and stop by to enjoy this ongoing, summer-long free event.

I’m sure there will be even more happenings and events coming to Stanley this summer and we’ll be sure to keep you updated!
