Big news for comfort food fans—Denver’s first Cracker Barrel is officially open, and it’s right here in Central Park. Located at 9111 E 40th Avenue, the doors opened on Monday, April 21st, and the place is already generating a lot of local buzz.

A few of us from the Focus team attended the ribbon cutting, hosted by the Central Park Business Association. We heard from Cracker Barrel’s executive team, Councilwoman Shontel Lewis, and Food Bank of the Rockies—who received a generous $30,000 donation from Cracker Barrel as part of the grand opening celebration. Always a great sign when a new business enters the neighborhood with community impact already in mind.

And while we got to sample a few menu items during the event (yes, the biscuits are as good as you remember), I had to go back a second time later to properly investigate what I’d been hearing: the Cinnamon Roll Skillet.

Let me just say… believe the hype.

It’s warm cinnamon rolls in a mini cast-iron skillet, covered in rich cream cheese icing. It’s gooey, sweet, and technically shareable—but let’s be honest, you might not want to. Even better? This is the only Cracker Barrel in the country currently serving it, with other locations rolling it out later. So for now, it’s a Denver exclusive.

Aside from the food, the space feels exactly how you want it to:

  • Rocking chairs lining the front porch (and yes, they’re for sale)
  • Checkers and peg games at the tables
  • A cozy fireplace and retro decor
  • And a Country Store stocked with everything from nostalgic candy to surprisingly great gift items

Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast all day, dinner with family, or just to browse the store, Cracker Barrel has officially joined the neighborhood—and it’s definitely worth a visit.
