Hey everyone! I had the amazing opportunity to attend the annual COO Summit, where all the major players in the Summit County ski industry gathered to talk about what’s new and exciting for the upcoming season. Let me tell you—it’s going to be one epic winter on the slopes!

If you’re unfamiliar with the COO Summit, it’s a big event where the top executives from Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, A-Basin, Loveland, and Keystone come together to share what’s coming up. It’s like a sneak peek of the ski season, and this year did not disappoint!

Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain is making huge strides, literally! They’ve expanded snowmaking, added more trails, and bumped up parking by 900 spots (hello, easier parking!). Copper is also upgrading the Timberline Express chairlift to a 6-seater, set to open in late November. They’re hosting the X-Games street-style event in December, with music and parties, so mark your calendars!

Breckenridge

Breckenridge is keeping it community-focused and eco-conscious. They’re aiming to be zero-net by 2030 (saving 80,000 plastic bottles last year alone!). And check this—three new lifts in three years, including the fan-favorite Five Chair. If you’re up for some VIP treatment, Breck’s introducing a new Tbar VIP experience and even some AI checkout tech at the Overlook!

A-Basin

A-Basin always keeps things exciting, and this year they’re celebrating being carbon neutral—ahead of schedule by 2 years! Plus, the sale to Alterra is still in the works, so stay tuned. For mountain bikers, they’re expanding their uphill biking trails. Oh, and heads up—parking reservations are now required on busy weekends and holidays. Safety first, right?

Loveland

Loveland is sticking to what they do best, keeping skiing affordable with FREE parking and a price freeze for the season. The cool new thing? They’re hoping to make their Archery Challenge an annual event! Plus, snowcat tours are still happening, so if you’re into adventure, Loveland has you covered.

Keystone

Finally, Keystone has some major changes in store. They’ve welcomed a new GM, Shannon Buhler, and are transforming River Run Village with new spots like Kindred Resort and even a Build-A-Bear workshop! Snowmaking tech is also getting a major upgrade to make sure the slopes are ready as soon as those perfect conditions hit.

The first lifts start spinning on November 8, and I’m here to help you navigate everything this season. Whether you’re looking for the latest event info, insider tips, or local resources, I’m your go-to! Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to make your Summit County experience unforgettable. Get ready for powder, parties, and plenty of fun this winter. Let’s hit the slopes!
