Independence Day is around the corner and after cancellations and modifications over the last two years, many are ready to celebrate again, resuming past traditions or creating new ones! Colorado delivers on the Fourth of July activities, and you will be able to find a parades, festivals, and fireworks with ease. Below are some of our favorites!

FUN IN CENTRAL PARK

Central Park 4th of July Breakfast & Parade

Where: South Green- 29th & Roslyn

When: Monday, July 4th, 9am

Breakfast will be on the stage and provided by one of our sponsors, Journey Point. There will be a suggested donation for the breakfast with all proceeds going to Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America. Activities will be provided by other sponsors, including a bounce house by Go Church. There will also be a balloon artist and Boneapetreat selling dog treats. 

Donations will also be collected for Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America who will be at the bike decorating booth.

Bring your decorated bicycles, tricycles, wagons or scooters for the parade, which will begin at 10:30am. There will be parade leaders at the start of the parade to guide participants through the course.

Commerce City 25th Annual 4thFest at DICK’s Sporting Goods Park

Where: DICK’s Sporting Goods Park

When: July 4th, 5pm

The annual FREE 4thFest takes place at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park starting at 5 p.m. and is open to all. Pre-match family festival will include live music, a bounce house, soccer darts, a rock-climbing wall, a mobile ropes course, an alpine tubing slide, a mechanical bull, a trackless train, pedal carts and a toddler zone.

Rapids Block Party is on the south side of the stadium with a live DJ, drinks, food trucks and an LED wall that will stream the Rapids’ game live. Local fans who live within the vicinity of the stadium can bike to 4th Fest and park their bikes at the Rapids’ recently launched Burgundy Bike Lot, which is located on the east side of the stadium between Gates B and C. 

Colorado Rapids vs. Austin FC at 7 p.m. Soccer match tickets available here. Following the game, fans in attendance may sit directly on the field and view the Fireworks Celebration. All fans unable to attend the game but interested in viewing the fireworks can park in the lots surrounding the stadium starting at 7 p.m. Tune in to 92.5 FM for the Firework Show Playlist.

FUN AROUND DENVER (BY DATE)

Denver Municipal Band Concert & Fireworks

Where: Cranmer Park

When: Friday, July 1st, 5pm

For more than 100 years, Denver Municipal Band has been bringing free concerts to Denver’s most beautiful parks, and they’re kicking off this year’s 4th of July weekend with a stirring concert and fireworks display. Catch the Glendale fireworks from the park after the concert!

Glendale Fireworks Show at Infinity Park Stadium

Where: Glendale

When: July 1st, 9:30pm

One of the largest and oldest in Denver. New for 2022: Held in the Infinity Park Stadium. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. You can sit inside the stadium (in the stands or on the field) or on the turf field to the south of the stadium — all are great viewing locations.

The fireworks show will be preceded by movie shorts and videos on the jumbo in the stadium and food trucks will also be available for anyone who would like a little snack while waiting for the fireworks to begin. You may also bring food and beverages, no glass containers or grills. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.

Colorado Rockies Post-Game Fireworks

Where: Rockies Stadium

When: Friday, July 1st, Saturday, July 2nd

On Friday, the Rockies play the Arizona D-backs at Coors Field at 6:10 p.m. and on Saturday, at 7:10pm. Both games are followed by a huge fireworks display. Ticket prices vary based on seat location.

Cherry Creek Arts Festival

Where: Cherry Creek North

When: July 1st-3rd, 10am

Independence Eve Celebration at Civic Center Park

Where: Civic Center Park

When: July 3rd, 9:30pm

The fireworks show at Civic Center Park is back! Experience the sweet sounds of the Colorado Symphony and other local artists, a spectacular light show on the City and Country Building and a fireworks finale unlike any other show in the country. Food trucks will be on-site. Gates open at 4 p.m., music starts at 6 p.m., and fireworks blast off between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m.

Elitch Gardens Fireworks extravaganza

Where: Elitch Gardens

When: Sunday, July 3rd, 9pm

After a day of fun, the park will light up the Downtown Denver skyline with a fireworks extravaganza at 9 p.m. Show starts at park closing!

Colorado Symphony at Dillon Amphitheater

Where: Dillon Amphitheater

When: July 4th, 4pm

Celebrate the stars and stripes with your Colorado Symphony this Independence Day at beautiful Lake Dillon. This program features your favorite contemporary scores, including the “Armed Forces Salute,” “Stars and Stripes Forever,” the “1812 Overture,” “God Bless America,” and a slew of your favorite hits from stage and screen. Admission is free but tickets are required.

Park Hill Parade

Where: Park Hill

When: July 4th, 1:30pm

The northeast Denver tradition starts at 1:30 p.m. and runs on 23rd Ave. from Dexter St. to Krameria St. Includes 50+ floats, bicycles, costumed characters, classic cars, a marching band and more. The parade ends about 3 p.m. at the Kearney Street Fair on the 2200 block of Kearney with food, live music, kids’ activities and more.

Fourth of July Celebration- Estes Park

Where: Estes Park

When: July 4th, 9pm

“Steam-to-Electric” Coolest Car Show includes 100+ vehicles on display at the Estes Park Events Complex. Estes Village Band gives a FREE concert at 7 p.m. at Performance Park Amphitheater. Fireworks over Lake Estes at 9:30 p.m. Estes Park FREE shuttles have extended evening hours this day to take you to all activities. In addition, The Big Bang Concert offers a view of the fireworks along with music, food, local craft beer and wine at the Estes Park Fairgrounds in the Grandstands.
