Happy Friday Central Park and Happy Holidays… It’s December 1st! Can you believe it, because I cannot! Where did 2023 go? For me and my family it seemed to fly by! In terms of the real estate market, it was very up and down but it seems (at least for now) that interest rates will not be rising any more in 2023 and hopefully not in 2024 either. In fact, a panel of experts predict the FED will lower rates and settle somewhere in the 6’s or very low 7’s in 2024 (themortgagereports.com), better for buyers and sellers who need to sell their homes!

I believe 2024 will actually be a strong real estate market here in Denver, because of this trend in interest rates coupled with a pent up market demand. Many homeowners had to wait to sell their homes due to lack of buyer demand pulling them off the market altogether. Plus many buyers chose to wait and see what would happen with the rates and homes prices. Pent up demand = a great spring selling season.

Of course, if you want or need to buy a home now, the benefit is there is a lack of competition and seller motivation is high so buyers will have a lot of leverage. Our market is slower during the holidays and winter months, so this is no different from what we are used to seeing in local real estate, but it had been undoubtedly slower than usual. Again, great deals are out there for buyers, so please let me or anyone at Focus Real Estate know if you are in need of real estate help! As local experts, we know Central Park and would love to help you.

In addition to real estate, we pride ourselves on knowing what’s going on in Central Park so be sure to check out some of our recent SCOOP posts below!

Disclaimer:

Our Friday real estate updates are meant to be a “roundup” type post where we discuss all listings in Central Park, not just our own.  It’s our way of making sure we follow the market closely and we share it with the Scoop readers because we know many of you like to track real estate in the area as well.  Many of the listings in these posts are not our company’s listings and we wanted to mention that here to make sure it’s clear. Thanks for reading the Scoop!
